The movement is single train, of 8 day duration and features large shaped plates, deadbeat escapement and Harrison Maintaining power. There is also a large wood rod pendulum with a heavy lead bob faced with brass on both sides and a substantial regulation nut. The silvered brass round 12" dial has Roman numerals, blued steel hands, seconds and engraved with the makers name and place of work.
The very well proportioned mahogany case has exceptional flame veneer to the front elevation, canted corners to the trunk and finishing with a single plinth to the base and a raised moulding to the base panel. The hood also has canted corners, a silvered brass sight ring surrounding the dial and excellent flame veneers to the hood door.
