NEW ARRIVAL

A desirable Scottish longcase clock of good colour and proportions.

The 8 day duration movement strikes the hours on a bell and has a round silvered brass dial showing Roman numerals, Arabic minutes, seconds, date and matching blued steel hands. A rare strike/silent facility is found above the number XII. The makers name and place of work is shown to the centre of the dial, Green of Edinburgh.

The excellent quality mahogany veneered case has well figured veneers to both the trunk door and base. The base has small bracket feet which are typical of this area of Scotland and the period. The hood has a lockable glazed brass bezel and a plain broken arch top.

An excellent example,
