NEW ARRIVAL
A highly desirable oak longcase of very small proportions.
Featuring an 8 day movement and striking the hours on a bell. The square dial with a silvered brass chapter ring, an exceptionally well engraved centre, spandrels to each corner, seconds and date. The makers name William Bothamley, Kirton engraved on the chapter ring.
The light coloured oak case is typical of the period and area of Lincolnshire. The hood displays attached pillars with gilt wooden capitals and a flat top hood. The trunk features a long door and the case stands on a plain base with a single plinth.
An excellent example.
Note. Being a recent new arrival this clock will require a full service to the movement and some minor restorations to the case will also need to be carried out before delivery. Please contact us if you are interested in this clock.
