An excellent early 19th century mahogany stick barometer by Sandrino of Liverpool.

Featuring an architectural top with a central pineapple finial and a rectangular silvered brass dial with a glazed opening door. The dial displays typical weather notations and also a mercury thermometer.

The mahogany case is decorated with herringbone veneers to the central column which also displays the exposed mercury tube. The spherical and turned cistern cover to the base also incorporates a brass transportation screw.
