Scottish Longcase Clock by Charles Campbell of Boness

An excellent Scottish oak antique longcase clock.

The 8 day duration movement striking the hours on a bell. The 12" arched brass dial with separate silvered brass chapter ring and with seconds and date shown within a silvered brass engraved centre. The makers name on a boss in the arch. The plain oak case of a rich dark colour with long trunk door and the base with bracket feet. The hood with brass capped pillars and with swan neck top, brass paterae and central brass eagle finial.

Note: Charles Campbell was born in 1732 and died in 1812.
