Richard Mason - St. Albans

An excellent late 18th century small oak longcase clock.

The 8 day duration movement striking the hours on a bell. The painted dial showing both seconds and date. The decoration to the arch comprising of scroll foliage, flowers and a Galleon to the centre. The corners painted with fans and diamonds. The small oak case with long trunk door and plain base with shaped single plinth. The hood with gilt wood reeded angle pillars and broken arch top with cresting and three brass finials.
