A fine example of the John Player Special Automatic Chronograph by Seiko.
The serial number dating the watch to October 1977. The movement has been serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months. The watch features the day and date of the month and a Chronograph which can also be used to measure the average speed of a moving vehicle over 1 mile using the Tachymeter on the outer ring.
Officially called the Yachtsman by Seiko but given the nickname of the 'John Player Special' due its coloured Chronograph dials being the same colour as the F1 Lotus team that were racing during the 1970's.
The case and bracelet has various age related marks which are expected on a nearly 45 year old wristwatch. Both the case and bracelet have been cleaned and lightly polished. The bracelet has numerous stretched links which again are typical of a watch of this age. The bracelet will comfortably fit a wrist of 19cm and it could be reduced slightly if required. Another option is to fit a leather strap if desired.
